Just got my Blu and it seems harsh.

Hi All,

I just got my Blu today with the variety cartons which are full flavor. I tried out the VV and to be honest it seems harsh. I'm not taking big drags off from it either. Pretty much every review I've seen on this people say its not harsh.

Just to be sure it wasn't just that one, I tried the cherry and it was even worse. Does the full flavor ones tend to be more harsh?

At first it will have a tendency to give you a scratchy throat, but if it's more then just a scratchy throat then you might be one of the few people who is allergic to PG. You may want to pick up some VG liquid and try that.

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't give me a scratchy throat but it has a rather harsh taste and an overall harsh feeling in the throat.

No problem noobs are welcome here. VG is vegetable glycerine which is opposed to PG or Propylene Glycol. Basically the two main bases for all eliquid. Some people have been known to be allergic to PG and can cause things like respiratory issues. I would keep trying your carts and see if you get used to it but use caution.

I can't seem to find any sponsors of this forum that sell VG liquid and I've never used it myself. Little help from the community? Any recommendations?

Ok, I'll have to check out the VG one's then. I welcome any recommendations anyone has. I saw a post on this forum how to drip it in there. But my concern is how much can you really reuse a blu cartridge like that with that type of refill without it becoming a little gross after awhile. I wish Blu made cartridges you could refill yourself.

I'm going to keep trying other cartridges, hope it works out. I'm using this to help me quit real cigarettes because I'm sensitive to the new chemical in the FSC cigs and I can not smoke them at all. After that FSC becoming law I decided I was done for good with those.

I find it harsh too .. All the carts I have tried in the variety pack, harsh. The first few hits are good , but after that, you may as well take the cart off and put on a new one.

Blu cartridges ARE refillable...

try that one on for size and see how she fits.

Harshness is most likely the nicotien content. Get a lower one and you are good to go

i just took a puff on mine and realized the stinging sensation you are getting is probably the juice. I will bet you are getting a squirt of juice in your mouth when you hit your pv
this is a problem we are or have all had to deal with and it caused usually from over filling, to strong a puff etc. the way i dealt with the issue with the blu carts was i pushed the inner cart up and used a toothpick or similar to "fluff" the filling so the filling came to the top of the inner cart then i pushed the inner cart back down and tried again
remember little puff to get atty going and long slow gentle pull in mouth then inhale. i even put the tip of my tongue not touching but near the mouth piece as i pull puff to stop any juice from getting to my throat easier to get it off tongue then back of throat yuk
way to test that is to get a little on your finger and taste/ put on your lip it not too much ewww see if that is the taste/feel you are getting in your throat
