I'd like to think I've got a good head on my shoulders, and that this thing isn't very complicated to figure out...but here we go anyway.

The package clearly states that only one atomizer comes with the starter set. It took me a while to figure out that, I thinkn, the little metal thing in the unlabeled black plastic was my atomizer...but I had two of them. Furthermore, when putting together the way I think is right, I can't get any vapor out the dang thing. (Though I can taste the yummy, puny-man vanilla lol)

After spending 15 minutes looking around, I assumed that this unlabeled back thing (that looked like the end you'd put in your mouth) was my atomizer. I had two of these plastic bits with the atomizer in them.

When I unscrewed it, I ended up with this metal thing.

Yes, the pictures are crap. My digital camera is missing so I had to use the webcam on my eeePC. >.>; I'm assuming that's mym atomizer, though I have two, and I'm only supposed to have one. And since I'm having some trouble with the thing, I figure I better ask all the noobie questions. =P

As far as installation, I took one of the flavor packs -- it looks exactly like the black cartridge, only its labeled 'VV' for "Vivid Vanilla." I installed the 'pointy' end of the atomizer into the flavor cartridge, with the 'screwy' end going into the battery where the Blu logo is.

The result is...not much vapor. Looking around shows that I might have more luck if I 'dip' but the only fluid I have to 'dip' in is in the cartridge itself, is that another purchase I need to make? Maybe the batteries are a little weak?

Something else to note is that this was a gift from a friend who knows I love weird gadgets. I've never smoked a real cigarette. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong? =P My dad is able to get some vapor out of it, if he inhales like he had just finished running a marathon and was gasping for air. I'm prettys ure that's not right either.

And if that is the atomizer they stuck in the empty bit of plastic...what's that plastic for? Just to confuse me? There's no flavor package in it...is it for filling my own fluids? (and what's the best way to look into doing that?)

ok 1) blu comes in three pieces
cart-flavor thingy
atty-metal thingy
batt-has a light on the end

charge batt
take protective cover(that is the blank) off of att
screw att onto batt
take fresh(no nic for you ) flavor cart and using a paper clip push paper clip into little hole you suck through to remove inner cart from outer cart (all foil off first)
use paper clip to "fluff" stuff inside make it nice and wet and pull it to the top of the little cart/cup
put inner cart back into outer cart and put this onto att
to smoke take a little 1-2 sec primer puff release the vapor then take another long gentle pull draw smoke/vapor into your mouth once your mouth is full of smoke inhale it or not your choice as you are not a smoker but want flavor?
Blu is for light smokers imho and prefilled carts suck but you will get a better hit following this i promise
as for extra parts do not complain lol (although my blu came with 2 batt 2 att and 20 carts) also a new atty may have a yukky taste that is a primer they put on it for shipping and will wear off in a bit

First, all Blu kits come with 2 atomizers (attys ... the metal thingys).
Second, the black plastic cartidge (cart) on the atty is simply to protect the atty in shipping. Third, you did put your Blu together correctly. Fourth, pull the atty out of your cart and look at the pointy end (bridge) and take OFF any aluminum that might be sticking to it ... then reassemble it and it should work much better. Fifth, re-read what foxytowgirl just posted.
